The Anna Aandhi...

The Anna Aandhi...

Though I don't firmly concur with the ways in which this movement is going on, (by saying this, I am fully aware that most of you reading my blog would have labelled me as "devil's advocate"! Let me clarify right in the beginning only- I AM NOT PLAYING DEVIL's ADVOCATE here... I just have a DIFFERENT OPINION...!), still it's really heartwarming to see people coming out to support Anna on this noble cause. The magnitude of mass movement which has started in past few days is enormous... I just hope it's not just the 'Soda bottle fizz' which fades away in short duration...

I believe it's always easy to point fingers at others' mistakes and flaws...we always want other person to be prompt in his/her duties...we are always (for most of the things!) aware of our rights...and create great hue and cry whenever our interest is at conflict...but the vice-versa is seldom stressed- We tend to forget our duties...we ignore the rights of other person!! When u point a finger at other at least three are pointing towards urself...whoever said it was bluntly true!!

Fact is, no one wants to change...everyone wants the easy way out...it's only human nature!! Simplest example will be: we caught in traffic rule violation (for whatever reason).. we all hate challan and try to avoid it by one way or the other (being specific, monetary negotiations or elaborate demonstration of persuading skills).. we become happy when such 'deals' are successful and when not we label the traffic policeman as 'unreasonable' and also bless them with special adjectives-"Thulla/Mamu" etc.

Therefore, BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE... I have always tried to follow it...(& those who know me will affirm to it) and on most of the occasions so far I've found it greatly successful...(two such experience in last few months only! while working as Jr. Resident, lowest post in hierarchy that too @ a govt. Hospital!!) So, trust me, IT WORKS!!! Though it appears at times to be slow and may seem ineffective altogether...but in the end it works!! You get the result which is stable and the best part is, you don't have to force it on to the other individuals... It gets inculcated into the system...
"HUM BADLENGE JAG BADLEGA" -Sri Ram Sharma (founder: Gayatri Vidyapeeth, Haridwar). We all know and many a times have admitted as well "hum detein hain tabhi wo letein hain..." coz we want an easy way out!!
So, BE THE CHANGE!!!

It's high as well as an appropriate time to introspect into ourselves... We are in the mood, receptive mood, to listen to and adopt the change within ourselves...just like the new parents, who have recently been blessed with baby, are receptive to contraceptive advices and family planning advices..!

Many people might argue that this will take ages to bring out the result...but truth is no social reforms occur overnight... We need to be strong in our character and persistent in our efforts!!
The canvas of Indian social architecture is too large to be painted by single print command... We all need to be the small blots at our individual levels...no matter where we are...and then in no time the picture of India of our dreams will be brilliantly painted! I believe the colour of such an effort will be much colourful than a million rainbows...
Let's Do Our Bit...!!
:-)

P.S.:
I would also like to request the media people to be sincere on it's coverage and plz, plz don't just go for TRP ratings.. at least not in such issues. You guys are the major contributors in spreading the awareness about the cause! Kudos to u ppl.
